Commercial Skills and Training
NICTA has a Commercialisation Skills Development Program available to all staff and students which is designed to:
- Provide a skills framework to help focus NICTA's research to the needs of the market, and to maximise opportunities for research impact through industry engagement and technology commercialisation.
- Respond to the lifecycle needs of use-inspired research teams and support each team’s different needs as they move through their project lifecycle.
- Assist industry engagement and commercial exploitation, recognising the many diverse ways in which this occurs.

Commercialisation Skills Development Program
(mouse over for more details)
The skills program supports the needs of researchers in the early phase of research planning and development ("building use-inspired research"), during initial industry engagements and commercial activities ("engaging the market in your research") and finally, where teams are involved in significant and complex engagements ("achieving market impact").
Within each phase, the program consists of team-based workshops, mentoring, case studies, e-learning programs and activity reviews.
