Emma Barron

Director, International Relations

Ms Emma Barron is NICTA's Director International Relations. Emma is developing our international strategy to meet NICTA's goal to be one of the world's top ten ICT research centres by 2020.

Emma has played a key role in NICTA's corporate strategy in the last four years as Executive Officer to the CEO.

Emma has 10 years of experience in government policy development, strategic planning and industry development across Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments.

Before joining NICTA she was Senior Policy Advisor at Multimedia  Victoria, Victoria Government (State Government) and Research Manager at the Australia Council (Australian Government Agency).

Emma has a Master of Arts degree in Science, Technology and Society from UNSW (2007) and a first class Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in History from the University  of Sydney (1995).
