Dr. Krystian Ji is a member of NICTA's Machine Learning Group. He joined the team of Decision Support for Incident Management (DSIM) in 2011 at ATP Laboratory, where he has been applying his causal inference research to the team's projects.

Previously, he was a researcher at NRL Laboratory since 2007, where he made the key contributions to designing the automated reasoning systems for Situation Awareness by Inference and Logic (SAIL), a conjoint project conducted with the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO).

His scientific interests include artificial intelligence, automated reasoning, statistical machine learning, and causality.

He also has expertise in mathematical logic, model checking and a range of semantic technologies.
