Research Interest: Dr. Jian (Andrew) Zhang is a researcher within the Wireless Signal Processing Program of National ICT Australia. He is also an adjunct staff of the Australian National University. His research interest is in signal processing for wireless communications, particularly in multicarrier and ultra wideband systems. He is one of the leading UWB researchers in Australia. His current research focus is on
Working experience: Dr. Zhang has extensive experience in hardware, network and system design in narrowband and broadband digital communications, and demonstrated experience in TI’s DSP systems and Motorola’s microprocessors. He worked as a system engineer in the leading communications company, ZTE, in China from 1999 to 2001. In 2004, he joined NICTA as a project leader of the "ultra-wideband transceiver" project. He was also a principal contributor of the "Gigabit wireless" project. Dr. Zhang promoted active collaboration with industry and research institutes, including Agere Australia and CSIRO. Currently, He is working in the Human Performance Improvement Project (HPI) .
